CANTERBURY CAMPUS MINISTRY PROGRAM ASSISTANTS: Full-time, post-graduate leaders who live in-residence at our Canterbury Houses at Kansas State University (Manhattan, KS) and University of Kansas (Lawrence, KS). Under the guidance and support of the Campus Missioner, they lead a team of Peer Ministers in those campus communities, as well as offer periodic support to other diocesan campus ministry programs. (This position was formerly the Campus Ministry Intern.)
The St. Francis Canterbury House in Manhattan is currently in a search process for their next Program Assistant for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Dillon Green (based at K-State, 2016-2018)
Dillon Green is the current Campus Ministry Program Assistant at the St. Francis Canterbury House in Manhattan, Kansas and works with the campus population at Kansas State University. Originally from Florence, Alabama, Dillon received his Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages with concentrations in French and Spanish and a minor in International Studies from the University of North Alabama (UNA) in 2015. He attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Florence, Alabama (Diocese of Alabama) and was a member of the executive council for UNA’s Episcopal Campus Ministry. He was also very involved in Diocesan work, attending the Diocese of Alabama’s annual convention three times, once as an alternate delegate and once as a delegate for UNA Campus Ministries. Dillon has served numerous times on the staff of the Diocese of Alabama’s Vocare program for young adults. Dillon will be attending Virginia Theological Seminary in Fall 2018 and plans to become a priest.
Will Chaney (based in Lawrence, 2017-2019)
Will Chaney is currently the Campus Ministry Program Assistant for the Canterbury House of Lawrence. Will serves the students of Baker University, Haskell Indian Nations University, and the University of Kansas. Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Will is a graduate with a Bachelors of Science in History from the University of North Alabama (2016). While in college he joined the Episcopal church and became very involved with campus and diocesan ministry in the Diocese of Alabama. After graduation Will did a year of service with the Episcopal Service Corps and the non-profit Bridges, USA in Memphis, Tennessee. Will is enjoying his first year with the Diocese of Kansas and is loving the all-new adventures and of course all the Basketball!
