(This position was formerly the Campus Ministry Intern.)
Anastasia Cunningham (based at K-State, 2019-2020)
My name is Anastasia Cunningham and I am so excited to be joining the Diocese as the Campus Ministry Program Assistant at Kansas State University. I graduated from Oklahoma State University in May 2015 with an associates’ degree in Culinary Arts and bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
During my time at OSU, I participated in campus ministry at the Canterbury Center at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. I transferred to Stillwater for my bachelor’s degree in 2013. This transition was very difficult for me. Once I became involved at St. Andrew’s and Canterbury, I really felt at home. Canterbury quickly became a haven for me.
Since graduation, I have been working as the front-of-house manager for Cheddars Scratch Kitchen. I have moved around with the company in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin within the last five years.
Transitions have become a way of life. I understand what it is like to be the new kid on the block. Being attached to a church in each location has grounded me and made me feel at home.
In my free time, I love to travel! I enjoy reading romance novels and attending cooking classes (in Paris, Aberdeen, and County Cork). I have a passion for organizing events. Among those was a fundraiser at St. Andrew’s for my semester abroad in Aberdeen, Scotland. One thing you may need to know about me is my fondness(infatuation) of all things Disney!
